Volusia School Board, teachers' union to continue pay talks

Contract talks between the Volusia County School Board and the union that represents local teachers will continue next week in search of an agreement on teacher compensation. Negotiations have been stalled for months, and the two sides failed to reach an agreement when they met Tuesday with a federal mediator although some new proposals emerged from those discussions.
