For Sara Roza, 5, of Harwich, the "ick" in Monomoyick was reason enough to choose the Native American tribe's name as the name of her new regional school district. In Chatham, Ciara Farris, 7, stuck by her favorite — Pleasant Bay — the name she had suggested early on in the district-naming search that began even before the two towns voted in December to create the first new regional school district on the Cape since 1970.
