Move of pivotal vote on controversial charter school has Cobble Hill locals fuming

Success Charter opponents charge meeting was moved from Manhattan to Queens to thin out angry crowd. City officials said that the original location for the meeting - the High School of Fashion Industries on West 24th St. in Manhattan - is under renovation and suggested the Newtown High School in Elmhurst as a replacement. “They are attempting to diminish the protests by making it harder to get there,” said State Assemblyman Jim Brennan .
