Chicago Public Schools continues to impose a blanket mask mandate over all its 330,000 students, including those in charters. CPS officials claim their hands are tied on masking because of the “safety” agreement they signed with the CTU after January’s four-day teacher walkout. As part of the deal, district officials agreed to keep students masked through August 2022.
