Ball State to defend failing charter school
Ball State University will defend its decision to continue authorizing a failing charter school on Wednesday, and try to convince the State Board of Education to keep it open. The state board will decide the future of Hoosier Academy - Indianapolis Virtual School during a hearing, and could decide to close the seven-year-old charter. The virtual school has received an F from the state for the past five years, yet Ball State approved the online, public, K-12 school for another two years
