Tulsa Public School looks to make up a $20 million budget hole, but the state continues to prevent Tulsa taxpayers from reinvesting in their schools

But there is a second force at work, which is more particular to Tulsa. Once the largest school districts in Oklahoma and the school system of choice locally, Tulsa is bleeding students. The online charter school Epic has gotten a lot of notice as the newest player in the process, but suburban districts, home and parochial schools and other education silos also play a role.
