TN school voucher issues ripple far
When deciding whether to support Gov. Bill Haslam’s school voucher proposal, state lawmakers will need to consider if ultimately allowing 20,000 students to take advantage of vouchers is really the best use of public money, a Vanderbilt University professor said Thursday.

Professor in TN questions whether vouchers are “worth all the politics to get there.” Why not ask a parent of a kid in a failing school if vouchers are “worth it”? Complexity of implementation is main focus, but whole point of vouchers is helping kids get to an academic environment that's best for them.
