Tennessee attorney general: Nashville and Memphis must hand over student data to state

The ASD, which runs charter schools in Memphis and Nashville, wants the contact information so it can market its schools to families. The districts have been resistant to give up the data, arguing that federal education records law allows for handing over such records, but doesn't require it.
