Exeter Region Cooperative School District voters supported the Exeter Education Association, approving the teachers' contract 2,271-1,991 at the polls Tuesday. Voters in Exeter, Stratham, Brentwood, East Kingston, Kensington and Newfields approved the deal after contracts failed the past two years. The teachers' contract, which covers 255 employees, calls for an increase of $357,836 in 2012-13 and a $601,800 increase in year two. This will cover pay increases of 2.15 percent each year of the contract, as well as step increases for about 30 percent of the members who are not at the top step.
