Taylor Virtual Learning Academy gives students a second chance at a diploma

That’s why the Taylor School District launched the Taylor Virtual Learning Academy in 2012, aiming it toward at-risk students. Today, the program is thriving, with more than 250 students and a waiting list of 20. Along with several other school districts in Michigan, Taylor has embraced online learning as a means to help more young people in the community get a second chance for a traditional Michigan Merit diploma.
