State schools chief wants to oversee charters
State schools chief Randy Dorn has sent a letter to legislative leaders asking them to revise the voter-approved charter school law to give his office jurisdiction over the new schools

WA State Super wants authority over charter schools. Potential for lawsuit here, and union (surprise surprise) supports challenging the law. Failure to get any insight on why having same bureaucracy govern charter schools might be a bad idea. No recognition that flexibility, autonomy vital to charters.
