U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet visits Scott Elementary School in Greeley

First-grader Noah Vasquez probably has adults tell him all the time to tie his shoes. But when U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., bent down to tie Noah's shoe for him Wednesday, the Scott Elementary School youngster was nearly speechless, especially when Bennet tried to tease him about his lunch. Can I have that? I'm hungry, Bennet asked the boy jokingly about the food on his tray. The boy quickly said, No, and went on his way down the hall, having no idea whom he had just spoken to. Bennet said he is touring Colorado schools to connect better with teachers, principals and students.
