Virtual school holds literal graduation

Parks, 18, mixed humor with optimism and inspiration as he addressed his 2011 Oregon Connections Academy (ORCA) graduating class. About half of this year's 150 graduates, the school's largest graduating class, traveled to Salem for the ceremony. Those students hail from all corners of the state; ORCA is the state's most recognized tuition-free public virtual school.
