Burlington teachers, school board reach tentative contract

Burlington Schools Superintendent Jeanne Collins said Wednesday that the public won’t learn the details of a tentative agreement with the teachers’ union until both sides have approved it. The pact was hashed out in a marathon mediation session that started at 11 a.m. Tuesday and continued until 1 a.m. Wednesday. Teachers are working under the terms of the previous contract that expired Aug. 31.
