Editorial: Secrecy around schools’ union contract isn’t good for anyone

News that Columbus Education Association leaders and the school board reached agreement on Aug. 2 was welcome. Columbus students’ education won’t be interrupted by a strike or strife, and a healthy working relationship between union and school board serves students and the public best. But we wish they weren’t collaborating quite so closely on keeping a lid on details that will directly affect students, teachers, families and taxpayers.
