Money sparks disagreement over new charter school

Despite a $1.2 million surplus in the 2009-2010 academic year and a $5.4 million cash reserve, adding a second charter school such as the one proposed by the Laramie Montessori Community Organization (LMCO) would result in negative consequences for the district as a whole, Albany County School District No. 1 Superintendent Brian Recht told the school board during Wednesdays public hearing at Laramie High School.
