West Des Moines school scrambles to find a home
More than $1.7 million has been spent by the West Des Moines school district to repair and replace Hillside Elementarys windows, which have leaked since the school opened in 2004, officials said. Those leaks have also led to mold at the school on at least three occasions since 2009.
