Great that philanthropy group wants to help westside Charlotte schools with project L.I.F.T., but why did group chose efforts such as wrap-around services to uplift students since similar efforts already exist?

Anyone who has been around middle school students is likely to tell you they need an outlet to release energy. Yes, CMS are strapped for cash, but can other cuts be considered that don't directly affect students?

Most charter schools struggle in their first two academic years, so it is unfair to jump the gun.  Charter schools should meet the standard set by the county, and if it cannot it should be closed, but it should be given a chance >
